Issue 9 is a celebration of green in all its forms. As a colour and a concept. Paints, plants, upcycling, recycling, fresh dirt, new starts, underrated herbs and lovely little shady spots. We chat to Jordy and Nora of design studio Friends of Form, about the importance (and joy!) of buying once and buying well.  We visit the leafy apartment of artist and illustrator Angelica Hicks, who’s been upcycling discarded furniture from New York city streets. Then Edith young - designer and photographer - takes us on a day-trip to the Manhattan Flower District.

We meet Cara Marie Piazza, who turns floral waste into natural dyes, squeezing colour from the sort of stuff the rest of us would have (until now!) probably just thrown away. And the perfumer Christopher Brosius, whose ability at making scents from the natural world is nothing short of baffling (be it snow, a tomato garden, or his grandfather’s sawmill.
We hope it makes you excited to get outside again.
