COVID-19, AN UPDATE FROM D&D
UK SHIPPING TIMES & DELIVERY PROCESS
Although we are dispatching our orders our within our regular timelines, the closing of non-essential retail stores has put that delivery networks are under increased pressure. All our carriers offer contactless delivery, and have implemented additional hygiene measures to protect their workers and the people they are delivering to. All these things take a bit of time, so please don't panic if there is a slight delay in your order.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
We are shipping orders as usual to international destinations. Depending on the destination, we use either DHL or UPS for international delivery, both of whom are classed as essential services. However, some countries are quite rightly prioritising the processing of essential food and medical supplies through customs, and as such there may be an additional delay of up to 24hrs on your package. If your order is delayed for longer than this, please email us at customercare@desmondanddempsey.com and we will get to the bottom of it.
WHAT ARE WE DOING AT D&D?
The D&D studio is currently closed, and the whole team are working from home following government advice.
Our warehouse team are still working on site with additional hygiene measures in place including:
- Segmenting the warehouse to reduce interaction between different departments
- Social distancing on site, maintaining 2 metres from colleagues
- Additional hand-washing and hand sanitiser stations at each entrance and exit
- All employees who are deemed at risk are working from home.
GIFT 4 GOOD
We have also set up, as a small gesture a initiative "Gift for Good" where our community can nominate someone to receive a pair of D&D's on us. The nominee won't know it is from D&D, just receive them with love from someone who is thinking of them. Find out more and join here.
