Prints

Each print is created in our Brixton studio. Twice a year we etch, sketch, paint, print and/or draw a seasonal collection into reality. When we started, they were drawn on the floor above a pub. Now we have a big art table and Joel’s brother Christian at the helm. We believe that the desire to decorate is intrinsic and universal. It is the essence of our practice; turning practical everyday items into something beautiful.

Legacy

Latest seasons

Primavera

AW25

Boticelli’s ‘Primavera’, a painting shrouded in myth, reimagined by Ella in gouache. Roses, carnations, orange groves, Amor and violets in love drift together to make every night a springlike dream.

Flora

AW25

Hand drawn by Christian in pen, this bold toile de jouy celebrates Flora, the Roman Goddess of flowers. Youthful and springlike, she scatters blossoms and, legend has it, gifted humans their first taste of honey. Pretty sweet!

LOVE

AW25

This print explores the all encompassing feeling of love & heartbreak. Of something familiar colliding with the unknown. Textured oil pastel is layered with delicate flowers painted in gouache.

Alma Fig

SS25

This artwork is inspired by the branches, leaves and fruits of a fig tree. Drawn looking at references of traditional ikat fabric, and using fine liner and felt tip pen.

Grand Hibiscus

SS25

Typically associated with warmer climates, this artwork depicts 3 bold hibiscus flowers. Drawn large scale and with the intention of printing oversized. Created using coloured pencil.

Tide

SS25

Inspired by Ikat techniques, this wavy swirl was drawn using fine liner.

A Laced Dream

Sleep and ballet are both active states. And both are most beautiful, when done with ease. This print uses lace illustrations of dream symbols to create a languid storyboard that we imagine would exist only in sleep or ballet.

Pegasus

AW24

Inspired by the winged horse from greek mythology. Brought to life with texturing gouache paint in monochromatic colours.

Dreamland

AW24

A dreamy pink landscape where creatures and people dance amongst the swirly palm trees. This artwork was painted using oil paints.

Fabelei

Immersed in the tranquility of a sunset along the River Nile's banks, this print captures the breathtaking scenery on a grand scale. Painted with watercolour, it reflects the hues of dusk dancing upon the river's gentle waves.

Feluka
