THE JAG
The first Grand Prix Motor Race in Monaco took place in 1955. The jag print is inspired by the high speed glamour of the race and the romance and wild abandon of Monaco at the time. It’s Talented Mr Ripley love triangles, James Dean behind a newspaper at breakfast, a whole afternoon by a bougainvillea-speckled pool.
Captured in this high-speed jungle cat with a quiet power. Painted at a scale of 40cm long nose to tail in gouache by Christian.
First Introduced in 2018
The Runaway collection
The jag was one of the first prints to become a quilted robe, as a nod to 1950’s hotel glamour. A product that has remained as padded, powerful and popular ever since.
