Prompted by the opening of Studio Ko’s YSL museum in Marrakech, we set out for Morocco.
We found a world of sweet-scented opposites. Outside; brightly painted souks overflowing with donkeys, motorbikes, ripe vegetables and spices, Inside: tranquil riads and still gardens.
We read stories of expats in the 60’s; Pierre Bergé, Saint Laurent, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and felt their inspiration as we walked the same streets as they did in Marrakech, Tangier and Fez.
We were intoxicated by the mood, colours and scents. These mesmerising senses are the spirit of our collection.
