The Collector print was dreamt up in a small shop in Mumbai called Poster Stuff. Serene, smiley Kalim runs this place. His grandfather worked as a cinema clerk back when the city was still known as Bombay. “He collected over 3 million posters!” Kalim tells us. We gathered up screen printed posters from the 60s, with a handful of hand-painted matchboxes and a stamp book gleaming with azure blues, tangerine and teal. These little time capsules soon made their way into our studio, and onto our fabric. We think Kalim will like it.
