The Little Marigold Embroidery Women
We left this print to be made in the very place it was dreamt up; on a rickety sewing machine as beautiful as the artwork itself. India’s national flower is a lotus, but when we think of Rajasthan, our minds rush with marigolds. They float on the Ganges, tower in baskets, thread into hair and clothes and fabric, and dance through the air on windy days. They drip with sunshine, colour and loud, frenzied life - kind of like India itself. It was only right to trap these wild little flowers in a fabric. Available in limited supply for pre-order as the incredibly skilled embroiderers in Mumbai add the final flourish. Don't miss out.
